Question : Status of Project Sanctioned in Uttar Pradesh under PRASHAD Scheme

(a) whether the ‘National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive’ (PRASHAD) is a Central Sector Scheme with complete financial assistance by the Government of India aimed at infrastructure development to envisage world class infrastructural development of the sites with special emphasis on tourist facilities;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the projects sanctioned in the State of Uttar Pradesh under PRASHAD scheme have been completed;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) if not, the time by which these projects are likely to be completed?

(a) to (e): Yes, Sir. Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRgvASHAD) scheme of the Ministry of Tourism aims at developing pilgrimage / heritage tourism infrastructure on need gap analysis basis, establishing tourism as major engine for economic growth, community based development by providing employment to the local population with their direct participation in tourism activities at the pre-identified destinations/places across the country. The status of the projects approved under the scheme for the State of U.P and for the other states, is annexed.
