a)&b) Yes, Sir. India and the European Union are committed to strengthen cooperation against international terrorism. The Joint Working Group on International Terrorism meets bi-annually to review cooperation in this area. In the Joint Communique adopted during the Second India-EU Summit on 23rd November 2001 India and the EU reiterated their resolve to fight against international terrorism wherever it occurs and regardless of its motives. It also expressed support for the early implementation of the Indian draft Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. The Declaration Against International Terrorism issued at the Summit recognized that, given their tolerant character, open, democratic and multi-cultural societies are specially vulnerable to terrorist attacks and reaffirmed that International Terrorism is a threat to peace and security.
