Question : Atal Bhujal Yojana

(a) the current status of Atal Bhujal Yojana in the country;
(b) the quantum of funds allocated, utilised and unspent under the yojana and the reasons therefor for such under-utilisation, if any;
(c) the details of foreign or private collaborators under the yojana including the nature of engagement with them;
(d) the stipulated time to complete the project; and
(e) the reasons, if any, for the delay in completion of the said yojana?

(a) to (e) Government of India has approved Atal Bhujal Yojana (Atal Jal), a Rs.6000 Crore Central Sector Scheme, for sustainable management of ground water resources with community participation in water stressed blocks of Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The scheme is being implemented during the period 2020-21 to 2024-25 with the financial assistance of World Bank with a sharing pattern of 50:50 between Government of India and World Bank.
