Question : Rashtriya Mahila Kosh

(a) whether the cases of involvement of certain fake/bogus non-Government organisations in the implementation of various schemes under Rashtriya Mahila Kosh have come to the notice of the Government during each of the last three years and the current year;
(b) if so, the details thereof State/UT-wise and the action taken/proposed to be taken by the Government against these non-Government organisations;
(c) the role of Rashtriya Mahila Kosh in empowerment of women in the country; and
(d) the existing mechanism for effective implementation of various schemes under the Rashtriya Mahila Kosh?

(b) Does not arise in view of (a) above.

(c) RMK extends microfinance to the poorest and asset less women entrepreneurs through Intermediatroy Organisations (IMOs) for income generating activities @ 6% simple interest who in turn extend the loan to SHGs beneficiaries’ upto 14% simple rate of interest.

(d) The existing mechanism for effective implementation of various schemes of RMK is annexed:
