(a) whether the illegal fishing is increasing in the Orissa`s coastline by trawlers of neighbouring states;
(b) if so, whether it has been jeopardizing the livelihood of local fishermen; and
(c) if so, the steps taken to stop such illegal fishing in the Orissa coast?

(c ) : Information has been received from the State Government that under the provisions of Orissa Marine Fishing Regulation Act (OMFRA)/Rules, the authorized Officers are regularly monitoring the fishing activities in the coast of Orissa by patrolling with the help of Police personnel to safeguard the interests of coastal fishermen in Orissa.
