(a) whether separate funds have been allocated in the Eleventh Five Year Plan for upkeep
of several ancient and historical buildings in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the various State Governments has submitted any action plan to the Union
Government in this regard; and
(d) if so, the amount Union Government has sanctioned/released to each State so far
during 2007-08?

(a) & (b) Archaeological Survey of India has received an annual budget of Rs.51.21
crores under Non Plan and Rs. 69.11 crores under Plan respectively for 2007-08 for
upkeep and conservation of centrally protected monuments / sites located in different
parts of the country.
(c) No such plan has been submitted to the ASI.
(d) Does not arise.
