Question : PURCHASES OF SUB-STANDARD ITEMS BY DMS

(a) whether the Government are aware of the purchases of sub-standard and unbranded costly items by the Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) through NCCF, Noida during 2001-2002 and its diversion to other places;

(b) if so, whether the Government have made any inquiry into the matter;

(c) if so, the details and outcome thereof;

(d) the cost of the items involved and the purpose for which the items were diverted; and

(e) the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) Yes, Sir. The Government are aware about the irregularities in the procurement of items by DMS through NCCF, Noida during 2001-2002.

(b)to(e) A preliminary inquiry ordered by the Government is in progress. The appropriate action will be taken as soon as the report is received.
