Question : DISABLED FRIENDLY HISTORICAL MONUMENTS

(a) the number of disabled friendly Historical monuments in the country;

(b) whether the Government have any proposal to make more Historical monuments disabled friendly;

(c) if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether the Government have any proposal to provide free entry tickets to the disabled persons on the line of railway concessional tickets;

(e) if so, the details thereof; and

(f) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) The Archaeological Survey of India has provided facilities for the disabled at 25 centrally protected monuments.

(b) Yes, Sir.

(c) 104 centrally protected monuments have been identified for providing facilities to make them disabled-friendly.

(d), (e) & (f) No such proposal is under consideration of the Archaeological Survey of India.
