(a) to (d) Recently, the Government has revised and realigned various components of following existing schemes in order to have focussed development of animal husbandry and dairying across the country for next 5 years starting from 2021-22 with the outlay of Rs.9800 crore over a duration of 5 years for leveraging total investment of Rs. 54,618 crore for 5 years:-
I. Rashtriya Gokul Mission
II. National Programme for Dairy Development
III. Support to Dairy Cooperatives and Farmers Production Organisation engaged in dairy activities
IV. National Livestock Mission
V. Livestock Census and Integrated Sample Survey
VI. Livestock Health & Disease Control
Livestock Sector in our country has been growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 7.93% (at constant prices) from 2014-15 to 2020-21. Milk production, Egg Production and Meat Production in the country are growing at compound annual growth rate of 6.20%, 7.64% and 4.67% respectively from 2014-15 to 2020-21 (Provisional). As per National Account Statistics 2021, The Gross Value Added and its growth rate of livestock sector during last three years is given as under:
