(a) & (b): The Central Vigilance Commission has suggested to the Government to consider amendment to Section 19 of the Prevention of Corruption Act so as to expand its scope. The Commission has also written to the Government for amending Section 13(1)(d) (iii) of Prevention of Corruption Act to avoid harassment to innocent persons.
(c): The Government takes up amendment in various provisions of law after considering the opinion of Central Vigilance Commission, the Law Commission and various other agencies. The judgments delivered by the Supreme Court and the High Courts are also taken into account.
