Question : Indian Forest Act- 1927

(a) whether the Government proposes to amend the Indian Forest Act, 1927;
(b) whether the Government is aware of the fact that it sparked protests in several States on the grounds that it would divest tribals and other forest-dwelling communities of their rights over forest land and resources, if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has taken a view of all States in this regard;
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(e) the necessary steps taken by the Government to resolve the grievances of the tribals and forest-dwelling communities in this regard?
