(a) whether her Ministry has any proposal to open some “Centres of Excellence” in the entire country to resolve the problem of skilled resources in the textile sector;
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(c) the details of the funds earmarked, funding pattern and time limit in this regard?

(a) & (b): No, Madam. Textile sector is largely unorganized and under the Integrated Skill Development Scheme of the Ministry, training centres are setup mostly in partnership with the industry across industry clusters and labour surplus areas on need basis. The present system is working well.
(c): Does not arise.
