Question : CCPWC Schemes

(a) whether the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has become a nodal agency under the Cyber Crime Prevention against Women and Children (CCPWC) scheme and if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government will provide budget, man power etc. to NCRB under CCPWC scheme and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has set up a cyber crime reporting portal; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has been entrusted with the task of operation and maintenance of the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal under Cyber Crime Prevention against Women & Children (CCPWC) scheme. Adequate funds under this Scheme have been provided to NCRB for hardware, software, hiring of manpower, etc.

(c) & (d): A National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (www.cybercrime.gov.in) was launched on 20th September, 2018, which allowed citizens to report online content pertaining to Child Pornography/Child Sexual Abuse Material or sexually explicit content such as Rape/Gang Rape Content. In consultation with the stakeholders, a revamped portal has been launched on 30.08.2019 to enable citizens to report all types of cyber crimes with special focus on cyber crimes against women and children.
