(a) whether the Government of Andhra Pradesh has requested the Union Government for displaying the jewels of Nizam of Hyderabad in the Salarjung Museum;
(b) if so, the decision, if any, taken thereon; and
(c) if no decision has been taken so far, the time by which the issue is likely to be settled ?

(a) to (c) : Yes, Sir. The Exhibition of jewels of Nizam of Hyderabad has already been held at Salarjung Museum, Hyderabad from 24th November, 2001 to 30th June, 2002. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh had requested for permanent display of Nizam Jewellery at Salarjung Museum and had agreed to bear the cost of permanent display. The State Government has been informed that there would be no difficulty in bringing the jewels back to Hyderabad for display as and when the required permanent arrangements are made with the funds to be made available by the State Government.
