(a) whether the condition of NH 201 in Odisha is deplorable;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has received any proposal/request asking for grant
of funds for repair/development/ renovation of the said NH; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the action taken thereon along with the funds required/sanctioned for the purpose?

(a) to (d) Although efforts are made to keep the National Highways in the traffic worthy condition within available financial resources and inter-se priority, the condition of some portions of National Highway (NH) No-201 in the state of Odisha are not in good condition. Provision of three improvement works on NH-201 with approximate cost of Rs. 104 crores has
been made in the Annual Plan 2012-13 for the state. Further, three periodical renewal works
on NH-201 amounting to Rs. 11.05 crores have been sanctioned during current financial year.
