(a) In order to supplement the efforts of the States/UTs for development and promotion of animal husbandry and dairy sectors, the Government is implementing various animal husbandry and dairying schemes to enhance production and productivity of bovines & small ruminants (sheep & goat), piggery & poultry across the country since 2014 namely:
i. Rashtriya Gokul Mission
ii. National Programme for Dairy Development
iii. National Dairy Plan-I (was closed on 29 Nov, 2019)
iv. Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (discontinued from 2020-21)
v. Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund
vi. Supporting Dairy Cooperatives and Farmer Producer Organizations engaged in dairy activities
vii. National Livestock Mission,
viii. Livestock Health and Disease Control
ix. Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund
x. National Animal Disease Control Programme
(b) The State-wise and Scheme-wise (2014-till date) details of funds released under various schemes is annexed.
