Will the Minister of HEALTH ANDFAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the supply of several medicines including the health supplements such as Chyawanprash, Aloe vera and many other tonics have been discontinued in the CGHS Dispensaries/Wellness Centres;
(b) if so, the details and reasons therefor;
(c) whether any corrective steps havebeen taken or proposed to be taken by theGovernment to restart the distribution of these health supplements; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): No. Medicines like Chyavanprash, Manoll, Herbosol, Agastya Haritaki Rasayana, Chitraka Haritaki Rasayana, Kushmanda Rasayan, Brahmi Rasayana, Brahma Rasayana, Shuddha Shilajit, Triphala Choorna, Yastimadhu Choorna, Ashwagandha Choorna, Ashwagandharist, Draksharista, Kumaryasava (it mainly contains Kumari i.e. Aloevera as ingredient) and Balarista are available in the CGHS Wellness Centres.
As far as health supplements and tonics are concerned, such terminology is not in use in the CGHS.
