Question : Harassment Cases in Delhi Police

(a) the total number of cases of harassment of subordinate officers/ personnel by the senior officers of Delhi Police reported during each of the last three years and the current year;

(b) whether the Government has conducted any investigation in this regard through any committee of senior officials of the Ministry; and

(c) if so, the details thereof and the action taken against guilty during the said period?

(a) to (c): As reported by Delhi Police, a total number of 17 complaints of harassment of subordinate officers/personnel by senior officers of Delhi Police during the last three years and the current year (upto 30.06.2017) were received. The Delhi Police conducts initial enquiry into such complaints. During such enquiry, out of these 17 complaints, allegations were not substantiated in 15 complaints. Year-wise details of number of complaints received, number of complaints substantiated/not substantiated and action taken on the substantiated complaints are as under:
