Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF EDUCATION

(SHRI DHARMENDRA PRADHAN)

(a) & (b) Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (VVN) is being charged by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) from the students. VVN is a part of fee structure in KVS and it is utilized for student welfare activities as well as upkeep of Schools. During covid time school activities as well as academic transactions continued in online mode.
(c) & (d) No such proposal is under consideration of the Government. VVN is charged from the students at a very nominal rate and is essential for the developmental activities in the School. However, exemption is provided to the specified categories, as under:-
