(a) whether the Government proposes to launch a new “Mobile Application Based Monitoring Mechanism” regarding the construction of roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY);
(b) if so, the details thereof, including the key features and the financial implications of the aforesaid mechanism; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): At present, there is no proposal to launch “Mobile Application Based Monitoring Mechanism” regarding the construction of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). There is, however, a mobile application i.e. “Meri Sadak” to receive citizen grievances regarding unsatisfactory quality of construction and slow pace of construction of PMGSY roads, which has been launched by National Rural Roads Development Agency (NRRDA), Ministry of Rural Development.
