(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. Electrification of Dindigul-Salem railway line is a part of Erode-Karur-Tiruchchirappalli & Salem-Karur-Dindigul (300 Route Kilometres) Railway Electrification project which has been sanctioned at a cost of `362.23 crore in 2015-16. `16.51 crore has been provided to this project for 2016-17. The work is entrusted to Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE), Allahabad for execution.
(c): Depending upon the overall availability of resources, the targets for commissioning of Railway Electrification projects are fixed on yearly basis.
