(a) whether the onion import move is likely to hit the farmers hard at the local level in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the corrective steps being taken by the Government to ensure that onion producers get adequate remunerative prices for their produce?

(a): There is no move to import onions in the country in the current Kharif season.
(b): Does not arise.
(c): In the event of prices falling below cost of production/economic level, the Government implements Market Intervention Scheme on the recommendation of the States.
