(a) whether the changes pertaining to cooking subsidy are likely to be incorporated in the draft National Energy Policy 2030 and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the draft on the said proposal was made public last year and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the draft National Energy Policy 2030 has been discussed in the inter-ministerial consultations; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) NITI Aayog has informed that the revised draft National Energy Policy has incorporated the provision of cooking subsidy. The draft provision includes that any subsidy provided to vulnerable consumers groups should be provided directly through mechanisms such as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
(c) & (d) NITI Aayog has informed that the revised Draft NEP was circulated for Inter-Ministerial comments to various ministries for obtaining their comments. Comments of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas have been furnished to NITI Aayog in September 2018.
