(a) Yes Madam.
(b) The Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Government of India is providing grant-in-aid to the various States of the country for dairy development activities including setting up of dairy plant under the Scheme “National Programme for Bovine Breeding and Dairy Development” (NPDD). The State wise financial assistance provided by this Department during last three years and current year under NPDD (2014-15 to 2016-17) including the previous merged scheme of Intensive Dairy Development Programme (2013-14) is at Annexure-I.
(c) Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries received proposals for setting up of dairy development projects from various State Governments including Chhattisgarh under National Programme for Diary Development (NPDD), a component of Central Sector scheme “National Programme for Bovine Breeding & Dairy Development”. As on 23.03.2016, this Department has approved 32 new projects in 18 States with total outlay of Rs.353.49 crore during 2014-15 to 2016-17. The details of State-wise new projects sanctioned and funds released under NPDD scheme during 2014-15 to 2016-17 is at Annexure-II.
(d)&(e) This Department supplements the efforts of State Governments to impart training and knowhow to the milk producers about the latest technology to augment the dairy production by implementing following schemes;
1. National Programme for Bovine Breeding and Dairy Development
2. National Dairy Plan-I
3. Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme.
