(a) whether the Government has set up new hybrid and electric vehicles manufacturing units and battery manufacturing units under National e-Mobility Programme during the last three years in Andhra Pradesh, if so, the details thereof; and
(b) whether the Government is contemplating to set up such units in other States/UTs, if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): No, Sir, the Government does not propose to set up electric vehicle and battery manufacturing units under National e-Mobility Programme in States including Andhra Pradesh. Further, to promote manufacturing of Electric Vehicles and battery manufacturing, following two Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes are being implemented by the Ministry of Heavy Industries to support Automobiles and Auto Components companies including electric vehicle manufacturing companies:
i. The union cabinet on 12th May, 2021 approved a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for setting up manufacturing facilities for Advance Chemistry Cell (ACC), Battery Storage in India, with a total manufacturing capacity of 50 Giga Watt Hour (GWh) and with an outlay of Rs. 18,100 crores for 5 years.
ii. Government has approved the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components Industry in India for enhancing India’s Manufacturing Capabilities for Advanced Automotive Products with a budgetary outlay of Rs. 25,938 crores over a period of five years.
