(a) whether the Flag Foundation of India (FFI) has sought permission from the
Ministry for installing Monumental National Flags across the country in order
to instill the feeling of nationalism/ patriotism amongst the countrymen;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the response of the Government thereto?

(a) to (c): No, Madam. However, a proposal of Shri Navin Jindal, President, Flag Foundation of India
was received for installation of monumental flag poles at Major Dhyan Chand Rashtriya Stadium (National
Stadium), New Delhi & Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, Tughlakabad through the Ministry of Youth Affairs
& Sports and this ministry had conveyed no objection to the aforesaid proposal with the following
stipulations:
(i) Adequate arrangements are made for proper illumination of Flags at night with backup in case of power
failures;
(ii) For immediate replacement of the Flag, as soon as it get damaged due to vagaries of weather.
