(a)&(b): The Livestock Census in the country was conducted in 2003 and that of the Human census was conducted in 2001. The Statewise comparative figures of livestock population vis-a-vis human population and the statewise growth rate of livestock population are given at Annexure-I.

(c): The per capita availability of fodder for the bovine animals in India for the year 2003 is as follows:
