(a) whether the Government proposes to set up procurement centres at village level;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to set up procurement centres in villages of Vadodara district in Gujarat;
(d) if so, the number thereof and the details of the villages where these procurement centres have been set up so far; and
(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b): Procurement centres are opened by respective State Government agencies/ Central Government agencies after mutual consultations and taking into account the procurement potential areas, production, marketable surplus, convenience of farmers and availability of other logistics/infrastructure such as storage and transportation etc. Further, large number of temporary purchase centres in addition to the existing Mandis and depots/godowns are also established at key points for the convenience of the farmers.
(c) to (e): Seven procurement centres have been operated in Vadodara district in Gujarat for Minimum Support Price (MSP) operations during the year 2018-19 in the APMCs at Vadodara, Dabhoi, Karajan, Savali, Vaghodia, Padara and Shinor.
