(a) whether the Government has approved enhancement of Budget for implementation of Network For Spectrum (NFS) for Defence Services recently;
(b) if so, the details and the objectives thereof; and
(c) the details of the implementing Agency for the said project and the time by which the project is likely to be completed ?

(a) to (c) On 16.05.2018, Government has approved proposal for enhancement of cost estimate for Network For Spectrum (NFS) project for the Defence Services from Rs 13,334 crore to Rs 24,664 crore with timeline of 24 months from the date of approval for completion of project. NFS project would provide a dedicated Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) based network for the Defence Services. The project is being implemented by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
