Foreign Exchange Earnings (FEEs) through tourism in India have registered a positive growth
during each of the last 3 years. The FEEs (in ` terms) along with the growth rate over previous
year during 2010, 2011 and 2012 are given below:

(c) and (d): Development and promotion of tourism, including new tourism spots, is primarily
the responsibility of the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations. The Ministry of
Tourism provides financial assistance to States\UTs for infrastructure development.
The Ministry of Tourism as part of its promotional activities releases campaigns in the
international and domestic markets under the Incredible India brand-line, to promote various
tourism destinations and products of India. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism also promotes
India through tourist literature and publicity material. The Ministry of Tourism also provides
market development assistance to eligible stakeholders.
