(a) whether tourism industry in the country is incurring heavy losses every year due
to occurrence of some disease or epidemic or natural calamity post-monsoon or terror
incidents over the last few years;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the reaction of the Government thereto;
(c) whether the Government has envisaged any plan or proposes to make any plan to protect
and encourage tourism industry in the country; and

Foreign Exchange Earnings (FEEs) through tourism in India have registered a positive growth
during each of the last 3 years. The FEEs (in ` terms) along with the growth rate over previous
year during 2010, 2011 and 2012 are given below:
