(a) whether the Railways are aware that the platforms at Balabhgarh, New Industrial town and Old Faridabad in NCR which are used by thousands of commuters, are
in a state of disrepair;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Railways have any proposal to enhance/upgrade/modernize the said Railway Stations; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) The condition of platforms at Ballabhgarh, Faridabad New Town (New Industrial Town) and Faridabad (Old Faridabad) is satisfactory. Whenever required, repairs are carried out regularly. The work of platform shed and extension of platform for 24 coaches is planned for completion by 31.3.07.
(b) Does not arise.
(c) & (d) It is planned to upgrade/modernize Ballabhgarh and Faridabad stations by March, 2008.
