Question : Construction of NH-753C

(a) whether Detailed Project Report (DPR) for construction of National Highway-753C in the State of Maharashtra has been finalized;

(b) if so, the details thereof including the estimated cost of the project and the time frame set for completion of the said project;

(c) if not, the reasons for delay along with the present status thereof and the steps taken by the Government for expeditious finalization of the said DPR; and

(d) the details of agencies involved in the process along with their roles and responsibilities?

(a) No, Sir.
(b) Doesn’t arise.
(c) & (d) The stretch from Jalna to Pulgaon of NH-753C has been entrusted to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for its development and maintenance. The NHAI had taken up the work of periodical repair of existing 2-lane undivided carriageway with estimated cost of Rs 112.85 Cr. The asphaltic (DBM+BC) work is complete. The road is in traffic worthy condition.The road alignment is parallel to Samruddhi Expressway connecting Nagpur-Mumbai. Upon completion of Samurddhi Expressway, most of the traffic of Jalna-Pulgaon section is likely to divert on it. However, decision to develop this stretch will be taken up after findings of DPR consultant.
