Question : Excessive Fluoride in Water of Wildlife Sancturies

(a) whether the excessive levels of TDS (fluoride) present in water in certain wildlife sanctuaries in the country has resulted in harmful effects on the wildlife;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether any study has been conducted by the Government in this regard;
(d) if so, the details thereof along with the harmful effects on animals and birds noticed during the last three years; and
(e) the corrective steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) and (b) There are no reports in the Ministry indicating excessive levels of TDS(fluoride) in water in Wildlife Sanctuaries.

(c) The Ministry has not conducted any study in this regard.

(d) and (e) Does not arise in view of (c) above.
