(a) whether there is any action plan to promote mini and small industries under Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana;
(b) if so, the progress made by these industries during Ninth Five Year Plan;
(c) whether some irregularities have been found; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): Yes, Sir. The Prime Minister`s Rozgar Yojana envisages setting up 2.20 lakh self employed tiny units annually in industry, service and business sectors. Separate targets for tiny and small scale industries are not laid down under the Scheme.
(b): The statement showing progress (for industry, service and business units) under the Scheme for the first three years of the IX Plan i.e. 1997-98; 1998-99 and 1999-2000 as reported by the Reserve Bank of India is at Annesure - I.
(c)&(d): The concerned bank branch takes appropriate necessary action in case of irregularities, if any.
