Question : SALT COMMISSION LAND

(a) whether the Union Government have received a proposal from State Government of Maharashtra to jointly exploit the 5,5000 acres Salt Commission Land in Mumbai;

(b) if so, the details of the proposal; (

(c) the decision of the Government on the proposal;

(d) whether the land would be used for re-settlement of slums near the railway line for low income group housing; and

(e) the present position of the proposal ?
