Question : Budget Allocation for PG Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the Post Graduate Institutes of Yoga and Naturopathy and Central Research Institutes of Yoga and Naturopathy to be setup in the country with the objective of research in this field as proposed by Ministry, State/UT-wise;

(b) the details of the budgetary allocation in the financial year 2019-20 for the construction of these Institutes;

(c) whether the Government has allocated any funds of the setting up of Yoga and Naturopathy Institutes in the rural areas, including Kasargod district of Kerala and the time by which the project is likely to be completed, if so, the details thereof State/UT-wise; and

(d) the details of the funds released and total expenditure incurred on the construction of these Yoga and Naturopathy Institutes during the last five years, year-wise?

(a): With the objective of promotion of research in the system of Yoga & Naturopathy, the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), New Delhi, an autonomous body of Ministry of AYUSH establishing Post Graduate Institutes of Yoga and Naturopathy and Central Research Institutes of Yoga and Naturopathy in the country. The following states have provided/ offered land for setting up of Central Research Institutes of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) to CCRYN:

i. Andhra Pradesh
ii. Kerala
iii. Odisha
iv. West Bengal
v. Rajasthan
vi. Jharkhand
vii. Chhattisgarh
viii. Karnataka
ix. Haryana




(b): Budgetary allocation in the financial year 2019-20 for construction of establishment of Post Graduate Institutes of Yoga and Naturopathy at Jhajjar, Haryana and Nagamangala, Karnataka is as under:

(c) & (d): The Govt. has allocated funds for Post-Graduate Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy Education and Research of Jhajjar, Haryana & Nagamangala, Karnataka, and one Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy, Odisha in the rural area. No fund has been allocated for setting up of Yoga and Naturopathy Institute in Kasargod district of Kerala. The details of the funds released are as under:-
