(a): Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) is a programme for providing livelihoods for rural poor women by organizing them into Self Help Groups (SHGs). The programme is being implemented in all the States and Union Territories, except Delhi and Chandigarh. Under DAY - NRLM programme, Community Investment Fund (CIF) and Revolving Funds (RF) is provided to Self Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations to take up self-employment for income generation.

The salient features of the DAY-NRLM are:

a. Promotion of Sustainable Institutions of the poor

b. Ensuring access to financial services

c. Promote diversified livelihoods opportunities for the poor, in farm and non-farm sectors.

d. Promotion of Skill Development and Access to Jobs

e. Promotion of Social Inclusion and Human Development

As of 30th September 2019, the Mission is being implemented in 5881 blocks in 646 districts across all 29 States and 5 UTs. Cumulatively, 6.23 crore women have been mobilized into more than 57.95 lakh SHGs. Further, the SHGs have been federated into 3.25 lakh village level federations and more than 29120 cluster level federations.

(b): The funds allocated and utilized under the scheme during the current year and the last year, State/UT-wise, including Gujarat is given below:-











(c): As of 30th September 2019, the Mission has covered 2611849 women members in the State of Gujarat, out of which 262044 women members are from Scheduled Castes and 665074 from Scheduled Tribes.

(d): The list of States that have rolled out the transaction based monitoring system for the evaluation of works done by SHGs is given below:-
