(a) whether the Special Inspection Unit (SIU) was set up by the Ministry of Finance in the Ministry of Surface Transport;

(a) & (b) A team comprising of a Senior Analyst as the Team Leader and two Junior Analysts as Team Members of the Staff Inspection Unit (SIU) of the Ministry of Finance is at present undertaking a work measurement study for assessment of the manpower requirement of the Roads Wing of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (erstwhile Ministry of Surface Transport).
