TAKEOVER OF AUTONOMOUS BODIES

Will the Minister of CULTURE be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the procedure regarding takeover of autonomous bodies by the Government; and
(b) the details of the bodies taken over by the Ministry of Culture during the last two years?

(a): Taking over of autonomous organizations is done in terms of the provisions of the constitution of any organization which has such provisions in its Constitution.
(c) The management of Lalit Kala Akademi was taken over on 1.4.2015, in terms of clause 17(12) of the Memorandum of Association of the Akademi, to secure proper management of affairs of the Akademi.
