(a) the financial assistance provided to the victims of bomb blasts and communal violence in the
National Capital Territory of Delhi during each of the last three years and the current year;
(b) whether the Government has received complaints regarding non-payment of grants to the victims;
(c) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(d) the steps taken by the Government to provide financial assistance to all the said victims?
MINISTER OF THE STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI MULLAPPALLY RAMACHANDRAN)
(a): A Central Scheme is in operation with effect from 01.04.2008 for granting financial
assistance of Rs. 3 lakh each to civilian victims of terrorist / communal violence in
case of each death or permanent incapacitation to the next of kin (NOK) of the victims.
Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 84 lakh has been released to the victims of bomb
blast in the National Capital Territory of Delhi as per details given below;
