(a) No, Madam. The digitisation of entire records holdings in National Archives of India is in progress.
(b) 1. In the first phase, a project for preparation of digital images of 11 lakh pages and developing a web based retrieval tool for private papers has been taken up which is in progress and likely to be finished by March, 2017.
2. Preparation of Digital image of 19,80,000 pages and converting the same into analog images in microfilms has been taken up which is in progress and likely to be finished by January, 2017.
3. Digitisation of important and rare publications which are available in Library of the National Archives of India in the form of Microfiche/Microfilm along with web based retrieval tool has been completed.
4. Besides this, the National Archives of India has prepared a catalogue of publication which is available on the department website.
5. Comprehensive proposal for digitisation of all records is under consideration.
(c) Yes, Madam.
(d) The digitisation of total 303 declassified files relating to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose has been completed and is available on http://www.netajipapers.gov.in
(e) No expenses have been incurred on digitisation in 2012-2013, 2013-14 and 2014-15.
