(a) whether the undertakings and agencies under the control of the Ministry utilised funds under social commitment;
(b) if so, the details thereof during each of the last three years undertaking and agency-wise;
(c) the details of work for which such funds were utilised during the said period, location-wise;
(d) whether the concerned officers have spent the funds arbitrarily; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and the corrective measures taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): Three Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) under the administrative control of Ministry
of Mines namely National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL)
and Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL) have spent funds from their own resources
for undertaking work under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme for the
peripheral development of the area.
(b): The details of expenditure incurred by the Public Sector Undertakings under the administrative control of Ministry of Mines during the last three years under the CSR
