(a) the total number of food processing units running in Andhra Pradesh at present;
(b) the total investment and production by these units; and
(c) the details of the financial assistance provided by the
Union Government during the last three years for setting up of
new food processing units and cold storages in the State?
THE MINISTER OF STATE OF THE MINISTRY OF FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES (SHRI SUBODH KANT SAHAI)
(a) to (c): Ministry of Food Processing Industries extends
financial assistance in the form of grant-in-aid to
implementing agencies/entrepreneurs for technology
upgradation/modernization/establishment of food processing
units. The Ministry is not directly involved in setting up,
implementing or running food-processing units. Moreover, Food
Processing Industries are both in organized and unorganized
sectors and as such their details including investment and
production data are not centrally maintained.
