(a) whether Porbander district was declared as Open Defecation Free (ODF) on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti last year and if so, the details thereof; and
(b) the number of villages and districts in the country which have been declared ODF till second anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), separately and State-wise?

(a) Porbandar district was declared Open Defecation Free (ODF) on 2nd October, 2016. A function was organised on 2nd October, 2016 at Porbandar under chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat. Hon’ble Minister, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt. of India have also attended function.
(b) State-wise, the number of villages and districts have been declared Open Defecation Free (ODF) upto 2.10.2016 is at Annexure-1.
