Question : Skill Development of Minority Youth

(a) the number of individuals/youth who have received the skill development training under the scheme for Skill Development of Minorities;

(b) the number of women/girls from minority groups who have been trained under the scheme for Modular Employable Skills (MES) since its inception; and

(c) the total number of Institutions/ Societies/Organisations/NGOs working with the Ministry for the implementation of the said schemes?

(a) The Ministry of Minority Affairs is implementing the following four Skill Development schemes for six centrally notified minorities, viz, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, Muslim and Christian:
(i) “Seekho aur Kamao (Learn & Earn)”- Employment-oriented Skill development Initiative for minorities:. (ii) Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts / Crafts for Development (USTTAD): (iii) Nai Manzil (iv) Garib Nawaz Employment Training Scheme (Maulana Azad Education Foundation). Since its inception, total 332961 individuals/youth have received skill development training under the scheme for Skill Development of Minorities.
(b) A total of 1,52,267 women/girls from minority groups have been trained in various skills including Modular Employable Skills (MES).
(c) ) A total number of 396 Institutions/ Societies/Organisations/NGOs are working with the Ministry for the implementation of the said schemes.
