(a) & (b): The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has
initiated action for formulating a National Food Processing
Policy and a Draft Policy has been prepared which envisages inter-
alia creation of enabling environment, infrastructural
development, backward and forward linkages, rationalization of
tax structure, harmonization of food laws, etc. which may
facilitate integration of the food chain and improve efficiency.
