(a) the number of Kendriya Vidyalayas in Uttar Pradesh, as
on date and the number of Vidyalayas having hostel facilities
for the students alongwith names thereof;
(b) whether the Government have any proposal to open new
hostels;
(c) if so, the locations thereof; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) There are 86 Kendriya Vidyalayas located within U.P.
State. Only one Kendriya Vidyalaya Ghaziabad is having a
hostel.
(b) & (c) : There is no such proposal at present.
(d) Kendriya Vidyalayas normally do not have a hostel. The
hostel at Ghaziabad was set up for students belonging to far
off remote places which did not have Kendriya Vidyalayas at
that point of time.
