(a) Whether the Government has any plan to include the deemed Universities/ other such institutions in the Youth Parliament Programme undergoing by the Ministry?
(b) If so, the details thereof; and
(c) the benefits likely to be derived as a result thereof ?

(a) & (b) As per the scheme of Youth Parliament relating to Universities / Colleges, all the Universities / Colleges recognized by UGC / Govt. of India / State Govt. who sponsor their nominees for attending the Orientation Course conducted by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs prior to the start of the Competition are eligible for participation in the Youth Parliament Programme of the Ministry. In accordance with this provision of the Scheme this Ministry has invited applications from all the Universities / Colleges including the Deemed Universities recognized by UGC / Govt. of India / State Govt. for the 15th National Youth Parliament Competition for Universities/ Colleges, 2018-19.
(c) This will enable the Ministry to extend the objective, which is to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate the healthy habits of discipline, tolerance of divergent views & development of leadership qualities, amongst the Students community of Deemed Universities also.
