(a) The number of projects started in Bihar and Jharkhand with the assistance of World Bank and other foreign agencies;
(b) whether all these projects are being monitored properly;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the number of projects of the said States pending with Government for assistance from World Bank ?

(a), (b) & (c) the details of projects in Bihar and Jharkhand undertaken with the assistance from the World Bank and other foreign agencies are as per Statement enclosed. The monitoring of the projects is being done both at the level of State and Central Governments.
Due to creation of new State of Jharkhand, some components of the projects now fall under the state of Jharkhand. The identification of these components is being finalised.
(d) No project proposal from Government of Bihar or Jharkhand is pending for World Bank assistance.
