(a) whether the Government has a proposal to set up new cement plants in Odisha;
(b) if so, the number of cement plants proposed to be set up in Sundargarh District and the capacity thereof; and
(c) the details and number of local youths likely to be provided employment in those plants?

(a): There is no such proposal from the Government of India to set up new Cement Plant in Odisha.
(b): As per information provided by the State Government of Odisha, there are 10 proposals from private companies to set up cement plants in Sundargarh district which have been approved by the Government of Odisha.
(c): The above proposals envisages the employment potential of 4359 jobs. The details are placed at ANNEXURE.
